A Gunfight was the first mainstream American film, Western or otherwise, to be produced by an Indian tribe -- specifically, the Jicarilla Apaches of New Mexico.

Lonesome Dove ...... The best western ever made

Once you have seen Lonesome Dove, you can never forget Gus, Cal, or Blue Duck......one the most authentic Westerns made, and yes, the best one ever made.
